Funny how he says Diaz wasn't happy at the UFC "putting him on the shelf" but Diaz has also publicly stated that he'll only return for a McGregor trilogy.

for what??? even though he outboxed mcgregor in the first fight, in an actual boxing match with real boxers, i dont think nate will be that successful. he's slow as shit, and is sloppy as hell with his punches.

UFC while growing in popularity every year has a major problem on their hands. Dana White is robbing his fighters blind. Generating a million ppv buys but paying these guys peanuts and they see boxers who are prospects or C level fighters making more then top UFC fighters. That will take down UFC. Whether it's the fighters forming a union, a class act lawsuit or jumping ship to fight promoters for more money a revolt is coming. You can't keep making all this money while these fighters risk their life like boxers but are paid 1/10th the amount. You seeing a lot of disgruntled fighters.

If Tom Cruise is in a movie, he makes $20m, and the guy who is the store clerk in some random scene makes $250. Because people want to see Tom Cruise, not store clerk. Tom Cruise is a brand, and the value he brings to the movie deserves to be compensated accordingly.
Nate Diaz is a brand. His name on the marquee makes people pay money to watch. He deserves to make money reflective of that fact. As far as I'm aware, McGregor has the biggest guarantee of any fighter - at $3,000,000. His name alone on any card is a sure bet it will do at least 500k to potentially a million buy at $60 a pop. Now the distributor and promotion deserve their cut, I'm not trying to say McGregor should walk with every dime, but to suggest that the McGregor, or the Diaz brand name only brings a value of $3m or less to the product is insulting - and if I was seeing guaranteed amounts of 5x or more that across the street from a boxing promoter - I would poke my head in and see if they were interested.
UFC has promoted its female athletes nothing short of AMAZINGLY!
I'm not always interested to watch two woman fight but at times the UFC actually makes me want to watch that.
The fight fans of any sport want an overall good event but what comes first more importantly is a business growth, making profit its like Ward getting paid what he has been paid for several fights it doesn't help the promoter he gets paid more than he is generating so how is that good for boxing in the long run?

sure there are boxers being paid more then an event generates which is just plain dumb and not good for the sport. But neither is ripping off fighters like UFC is doing and keeping all the money for yourself to the point you got champions begging for money from family members. It doesn't have to be one extreme or the other UFC could create some system where the fighters are compensated better. If they are smart they are proactive about this their top names feuding with them in the public eye and going out to get boxing licenses is not a good look.
