    Best Welterweight Ever?

Whats up everyone. I'm new to the boards, wondering who you guys thought the best Welterweight Was Ever?

My pick is Felix "Tito" Trinidad. I don't think he gets the respect he deserves, shadowed by the gleam of Leonard & Del La Hoya.

Trinidad was really good at the welters and fought some top competition but the win over ODLH will always be used against him by his detractors.

IMHO Trinidad was a great welterweight that just went to high. He never really beat a true Middleweight (I consider Joppy a Super Welterweight), his win over Mayorga was also against someone who wasn't a true middle weight.

However people hold up his losses and say that he was over hyped. They hold up DLH's loss to the same guy and just say he went up to high in weight and was over powered.

In summation Trinidad was a great Welterweight but not the greatest in my estimation. I have Sugar Ray Robinson as the Greatest, he was invincible at the Welters and didnt lose till he started fight middle weights late in his career, but even then he still weight-in as a welter and fought middles.

I got Chavez and Pernell up there too.

IMO.I think he was very good at welter but not ahead of Ray Robinson,SRL and probably a few more, but those are legends so that's nothing to be ashamed of.
