All he teaches ward is jab and grab, if ward was shown some real technique he could of been the next Floyd no doubt but he has a limited one trick pony trainer, I'm glad Floyd put Virgil on the spot he's overrated as it gets.
^^^ lol, look at this miserable clown.

LMAO, Ward's a gold medalist who hasn't lost a fight since he was 12 years old and Hunter's the one who taught him how to box.

Dude's a first ballot hall of famer.

Like can y'all be that bitter about a close fight not goin' y'all way?

"likely 1st ballot HOF" There's no likely asterix needed. He will be first ballot or the HOF has no credibility. Ward beat Froch easily and by wide UD. Ward won every round even if the judges were trying to keep it looking as wide as it was. The real overrated trainers are Freddie Roach and Teddy Atlas.

Atlas is in the same category as Virgil but Roach is one of the best offensive trainers in the history of the sport look at his track record and how many champions he's trained he's not overated at all.

Lets take a good look at this boxing team (fighter & trainer)
USA Amateur Champion at Middleweight (165)
USA Amateur Champion at Light Heavyweight (178)
World Olympic Gold Medalists at Light Heavyweight (178)
                  Pro World Champion (168)
                  Pro World Champion (175)

They haven't been defeated in 20 Years of competition at the highest levels!

Yet some kid who has trained (no one, zero people, not a pup)
Comes on a boxing forum to state that Virgil Hunter has no business training Andre Ward. Really?

What do you (ak) know about advise in between rounds to begin with? Do you train competitive boxers? Do you box competitively? Do you work in fight corners? How many fighters seek you out for advice's?

Pretty silly stuff here, a boxing fan who knows more than a trainer who has successfully trained one of the most accomplished boxer in the past 20 years!

                  Ray.

No one said he's not elite you dope I said he has potential to be great like a Floyd but he's style is jab and grab he's limited and can't sell ppvs to save his life, cant avoid knockdowns either apparently, he retires today no one remembers him a few years from now.

And who are you always questioning what people know, you don't know me or anyone here to say some kid on a forum, what have you specifically done I never heard of you where's your resume??
