Just cursorily glanced at the item and didn't take the time to note the names. I just stated in my post what I recalled reading. I also recall that the article was mainly the author's (sorry, can't remember his name, either) beef of how difficult it is to get boxing rounds through radio: the commentators' biases always get into play resulting in the listeners' getting the wrong impressions. The reason why I posted the information is to show that even in the eyes of a number of boxing-savvy Brits (at least two) who were at ringside, the fight was that close...or, not Hatton's.Last edited by grayfist; 05-17-2006, 08:54 AM. -
Hatton shouldn't have said he would give Collazo a rematch if he didn't intend to. Ricky knows he was lucky to get the decision. If he doesn't feel he can beat Collazo and won't give him a rematch, why would anyone think he could touch Mayweather? If Hatton want's to prove that he's the real deal and that the Collazo fight was close cause he wasn't use to the weight(as so many hatton fans say) then he should take this fight before anything else. I dont think he'll do much more then he did the first time around but if he wins decisivly he'll earn respect in the states. maybe we'll see something we didn't see in the first fight from Hatton.Comment
