      I really don't know about a rematch:

maybe he should, since I didn't like how his team said "NO Rematch" to Kostya Tszyu.

What happens if he loses...Collazo now knows he can hurt Ricky and will probably be much more aggressive...I also wouldn't be surprised if he starts popping that jab even more, following up with his his left.

Ricky can make more money facing the winner of Corrales vs Castillo; or fight Mayweather, Gatti, maybe even Oscar.

Gatti would be a good, action packed fight, that would make him lots of money, plus more exposure by fighting in either Atlantic City; of course Gatti has to get by Baldomir first.

All I am saying is, there is still little exposure to fight Collazo in the States...sure it would do great back in England if they fought there, but the point to Ricky sailing over here was to fight Names that will build his exposure to the media.

I feel bad for Collazo, but if he wanted to win that fight, he should of fought better sooner, and not give up his belt.
Just because you are "Champion" doesn't mean you are not fighting for the belt; once you step into the ring, in my opinion and in the words of Coach Herm Edwards, "You Play to WIN the Game."

Then again, Hatton is only 27, and it was for a World title, so it would be the right thing to do to at least try to work something out for a rematch in the near future.

I don't think Gatti would be much of an action packed fight. ACtually, I'm suprised people are still even talking about him fighting the best.

But Gatti has lots of fans in Jersey and New York that go to his fights, plus a lot more people watch his fights on HBO then they are watching Hatton...this is a chance for Hatton to show what he has to offer, and maybe lure some of those fans over to his side when he fights Mayweather...Don't you think if he beats Gatti, his fans might root for him to beat Mayweather, who gave Gatti a beating.

Mickey Ward got a hell of a lot more popular fighting Gatti than he was fighting on ESPN.

I'm sure Hatton would like to rematch Collazo to clarify the situation, but he just can't afford to pass up potential fall match ups vs. Cotto, Gatti/Baldomir winner or Castillo/Corrales winner.

We could be seing a mini-tournament (sans PBF) with Gatti/Baldo winner vs. Cotto and Castillo/Corrales winner vs. Hatton. It would be a hell of a tournament, winner gets PBF.

edit: This tournament wouldn't all be at welter, Gatti surely won't want to make 140 anymore and Castillo/Corrales surely can't make it to 147 effectively...

Obviously the huge problem there is PBF is forced to wait on the sidelines...UNLESS he can win the DLH sweepstakes.

Yeah... But do you know the names of the 2 guys fighting in the lower weight classes in a world title fight before?? Cos that fight was a cracker. The ending was very insatisfactory! I'd like to see that rematch on the undercard.

I think Hatton should have a rematch, and I believe Hatton would be prepared.

Rematch, yes, and not way down the line please. Not after meeting the winner of Corrales-Castillo, not after anyone else...

Hatton will not give Collazo a rematch right away, he will do the same he did with Kostya. He first tells Kostya he will give him a rematch, then a couple months later he sais there's no rematch.

There is too much for ricky to lose and not much to gain. Collazo is not a big name. This contraversial "win" will dissapear soon enough and only the real boxing fans will remember how horrible he looked against the Champ that was obviously better than him on that particular night.

If you notice, he said "I'll give him the rematch...... in Manchester" why the hell should it matter where it's at? Is he going to pull even more tactics in a place where he would get away with it?

The way things look, they're going in the direction that you say they are. Right after the fight, Hatton said he was in for a rematch. The statement made was without qualification. Then, he said, he'd like the rematch in Manchester. After Collaso called that, he qualified it further to mean that the rematch would come only after he meets the winner of Corrales-Castillo III.

You may want to know this: there's an item out on *********.com that explicitly states that the two fellas calling the fight for BBC Radio did not see it for Hatton. One thought it was a draw while the other saw it for Collaso.
