The fight was seen as 50-50 pretty much everywhere.

It was a close fight. If you expected more than you expected to lose.

So if what you got was a guy who dropped you and gave you a fight that "could have gone either way," but you expected more from Kovalev, does that mean you expected to lose? You expected to get KO'd, just not KD'd? You expected to lose 12 rounds instead of just 6 or 9 depending on who's score you look at?

          Whatever you say, Andre.
More as an a second gear, which he mentioned that and Kovalev didn't have a second gear. It was actually Ward who had the far superior second half and Kovalev tiring. Also, Ward wasn't too impressed with Kovalev's power, so that falls under expecting more.

I like Ward. He's obviously troubled by his performance and likely troubled by the idea of a rematch. His talking is not helping him.

I've never seen such a surprised look on someones face when the decision was read out.

Ward didn't even believe he won that fight and the more he talks, the more it sounds like he's trying to justify the gift he got. There's no way on earth Ward won the majority of those rounds.

Ward is a clown, Son Of Gift lost that fight, or at best, he won it by the slightest of margins.

What a smug douchebag this guy is, cant believe some people actually buy his fake nice guy persona

Ward just letting everyone know, "Kov is only a man." That's why Ward picked himself and fought back where most boxers would have gave up. Close decision, but I feel the judges got it right.
