Comments Thread For: Ward: Media Said Kovalev Was Invincible, I Expected More From Him
Andre Ward (31-0, 15 KOs) admits that he expected a lot more from Sergey Kovalev (30-1, 26 KOs) when they fought last November at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Ward has said in interviews it was a close fight that could have gone either way. Now he's saying he was expecting more from Kovalev...
So if what you got was a guy who dropped you and gave you a fight that "could have gone either way," but you expected more from Kovalev, does that mean you expected to lose? You expected to get KO'd, just not KD'd? You expected to lose 12 rounds instead of just 6 or 9 depending on who's score you look at?
the media is racist and manipulative...they never kept it real on how him and kathy ducked a mandated fight twice..or how hbo had to protect him by not working with showtime to touch a larger audience with each's parent and sister networks.
but with that being said if he would ave gave you that little bit more that you expected HE WOULD HAVE BEAT YOU..
u rightfully won tho
now unify them titles and get knocked out like your father used to (Debo voice)
Ward needs to shut up already, he got lucky to take a decision home. He should be happy but he sounds sour cuz he knows in the eyes of most he lost that fight.
Being arrogant and ****** is a terrible way to go through life. This guy should be shown the look on his face when he was announced the winner, I have seen it posted on here before...it seemed like he didn't even believe what he was hearing.
