you said with floyd, its different because he was active and didnt retired..

didnt he retired years ago anf then came back? and he ended his career again against berto. so is that going out on top?
    A) Yes, he should end his career with one final big fight on top against Garcia or Thurman unless someone beats one of those guys to claim top spot and then he fights that fighter. Floyd beat Pac and had one last fight. Pac beating the top welterweight and then a final lessor fight would be the same scenario.

This is why boxing is in the ****ter.
Floyd Mayweather set the precedent for these kinds of pay expectations, and it has become the norm over the past few years. Guys also know that having an 0 is marketable so they are not often going to go after risky fights unless the pay is exorbitant. It's hard to undo the entire boxing culture but unless there is some mass attraction of fans to the sport or boxers start accepting less cash per fight, I have a bad feeling about boxing in America in the near future.

These young guys should be willing to take just a bit less to fight a legend and build their name. Imagine if Bud goes in and whoops Manny Pacquiao, that's the stuff careers are built on...

He should be happy with like 4-5 million if they offered him that, that's probably 3 times more than he's ever made and more importantly there's no fights out there for him to make anywhere close to that in the near future...

Also, Manny (or his team) asking for $20 mill is also ridiculous at this point in time. He's not drawing the buys he used to so how do they generate that kind of money to pay both guys? I guess this will be another great fight we don't get to see.

I doubt it, he probably beats Thurman but it wouldnt be easy work at all. Thurman is in his prime

Pacman vs Ricky Burns is now possible according to Roach

He explains in the video that Pac has guarantee in his contract (20m I assume), the only way Bob can afford to pay that is if the fight makes £, Pac vs Horn would be huge in Australia and Pac vs Burns would sell very well in the UK, they're both **** fights but Arum has to find a way to pay him his guarantee, it's not Pacquiao's problem. Why would he take a paycut to fight Crawford?

Guys like Broner and Garcia are much bigger names than Crawford and they were ripped to pieces for supposedly turning down 3/4m, so Crawford asking for 7m seems a bit over the top to me

Fighters asking for too much based on nothing. Gonzalez, Golovkin now Crawford. The $7 million has no basis, not PPV numbers, not gate revenue, not popularity. He's just getting $7mill figure out of his ass lol. Dudes need to stop trying to get Haymoon-fighter money, they can't, for that they need Haymon himself.
