Pac is a full time senator and part time boxer... He trained for Vargas while working as a senator like 8am to 6pm or some hours like that. Some of you need to remember this. I don't like the idea of Horn.

It'd be a waste for Manny who likely has 2 fights left.

Hope both Pac, Bud AND Arum can compromise...and get this fight negotiated.

I'm sure he'd take 4 or 5 million if it's offered at the negotiation table

20m is Pacquiao's guarantee, a fight with Crawford wouldn't generate enough money to pay that + what Crawford wants

You are obviously brand new to Boxing or you would know upsets happen in boxing all the time. MANY, MANY top fighters have lost to guys no one would believe they could lose to and ESPECIALLY at Pac's age. If not, then if he fights Horn or a lessor fighter, I will bet 20 bucks against your car or your house that Pac loses. Sure, I will most likely lose the 20 bucks but I doubt like hell you are so sure Pac would win that you would take that bet. Dont kid yourself into thinking otherwise because many super fights have never made it to the table because a star lost to a tune-up fighter or a low risk fighter. You are in la la land if you think otherwise.

He also misses the sport. It is a FACT that many rich people retire and come back because they love what they have done for many years. They can miss the limelight, being a champ, the money, or the adrenaline of being in the ring, a number of things but you dont know what is in their heart so dont claim you do unless you are some psychic which I doubt you are. I'll go on Pac's own words till someone can prove he didnt miss the sport, doing what he has loved to do since he was a teen.

These are the purses for Pacquiao's opponents (excluding Mayweather) after he was knocked out by Marquez.

                Vargas: $2.8M
                Bradley III: $4M
                Algieri: $1M
                Bradley II: $6M
                Rios: $4M

Bradley is the most accomplished and he made $10M between the 2nd and 3rd fights ($5M average). Crawford is on that level. I think somewhere between $4-5M is fair for Crawford.

If every ppv fight was structured so the fighters agree on a % split, there would be a greater impetus for fighters to fight each other and also to promote the fight.

Promoters play an unnecessary big role in boxing. Other than negotiating splits amongst the fighters and the networks, they do nothing else of significance. These are things that can be handled by accountants and lawyers. Promoters do little that can be classified as "promoting" a fight. Social media and the internet has changed the landscape of what promoting encompasses. Its no longer planning a 8 city stop press tour. Look at floyd manny.

Crawford has a bigger fanbase than Tim...plus he's more dangerous/intriguing an opponent for Manny.

He's got all of Nebraska eating out of his hand.

They are proud and happy to have a Champion from Omaha..

This sport is badly skewed, Haymon has done well to **** everything outside of his reach.

Crawford should revel at the oppurtunity. This is a gateway fight. Take a mil or 2, you're nobody and boring.
I think I remember he made $700k for the first Barrera fight.
