Dont kid yourself. His age and the fact that upsets happen in boxing is more than enough of a reason to take the bigger fights for more money. History is littered with examples of big fights not coming off because one of the two top fighters lost a fight they were supposed to win.

so if its not his last fight then you have nothing to worry about. maybe he'll fight an elite for his last and final fight then. is that good enough?

and yes, arum has worked with other promotional company before but it was not for big fights and if it was, look how hard it was to make the deal.

Bob is old, and he is wise. He knows the current market value of both fighters and is not going to potentially lose a ton of money to make it happen.

I could care less if Pacquiao gets KOd, i hope he does but something really crazy needs to happen for him to get KOd. He isnt taking risks and he changed his style. He is old and fighting soft competition for nice paydays.

This is like people wanting Floyd to come back to fight a monster like Thurman or GGG, for what reason? Floyd comes back (if he does) and he will fight a guy similar to Berto, good fighter but not a threat to him

Bradley got 4 for the 3rd fight, right?

if anything, it was planned all along to announce that he's retiring.

it was a way to boost up sales for the pac vs bradley 3 fight.

there was very little interest in that fight. so he has to say its his last fight in order to try and get more interest.

he took 7 months off lol.
He retired. This is a provable fact. If a fighter says they retire and fights a month later, they didnt retire. He retired and came back because he missed the sport. He retired. And no, he did not use retirement as a way to drum up business. Dude, you are grabbing at straws and are desperate as hell coming up with that absurd line. Pac said he retired and was retired and missed the game. You making sht up about drumming up business for a Bradley fight is ******ed.

He doesnt just have to get KO'd. He loses a solid decision and there goes a bigger pay day when he could have had a bigger fight and bigger pay day. You are the one assuming he wont fight the Thurman/Garcia winner. I am saying if he lines himself up for that fight, he gets a huge pay day and goes out on top if he wins.

he took 7 months off which is the usual time off from between fights.

why does he need to fight elite just because he said he retired and came back? so he has to prove himself all over again because he said he retired for 7 months?

I've been saying all along that if he ends up fighting the top guy at 147, he caps his career the right way. That means his fight after the next one. And if Arum and Pac want the winner of Garcia/Thurman, they will get the winner of that fight because it is a huge fight with lost of money and Garcia or Thurman and their teams would be drooling for such a fight.

He didnt take 7 months off. He flat out retired! This is not up for debate! He decided to come back and that is a fact. And who is to say he does not want to fight the winner of the Thurman/Garcia fight???? I am waiting to see if he wants to go out on top or not. Anything less is an ANTICLIMAX to a come back.
