roach already explained why they didnt want crawford because of pac's schedule. roach wanted manny to be fully committed in training if its against crawford since crawford is a better fighter and at that time, it wasnt going to work since manny has his senator job.

Roach and Pacquiao have been playing this pathetic bs weight scam for years. Claim they can make 140, and are really "too small" for 147, but when it comes time to fight.......make Jr Welterweights come up to Welterweight. That list includes Bradley, Rios, JMM and Algeri.
Now when some of you are criticizing Mayweather, ask yourself how many reigning 147 title holders has Pacquiao faced and beaten at the Welterweight limit of 147? The list begins and ends with Tim Bradley.

yes because at 38 Manny's the one that has the upper hand, dude shut up, Crawford isn't a victim of some great injustice, this is a lottery win for him. If Crawford was coming down in weight, then you can talk. Crawford's too big to have an issue going up to 47, and Manny's too small for it to matter.

I completely disagree with Freddie's logic, he's not going to be slower....his fight night weight is 156. The good news is Freddie gave Bob the okay to make the fight, basically later this year sinice Manny's gonna have one other overseas.

They should fight at 140 solely because that's where Crawford has belts.

And then Tim Bradley an unbeaten A-level HOF who was coming off a KO win over a faded Casamayor and whose credentials at 140 were unmatched by beating Nate Campbell, Alexander, Lamont Peterson in humiliating fashion. Rios was used as a tune up bout for him to see if he can still fight at world level after being KTFO by Marquez, whose a loss that would have damaged a fighter forever. Then Bradley again who is a top 3 pound for pound fighter at the time behind only to Floyd and Ward. And Algierie was used as a tune up for Pacquiao, but was coming off at a big win over Provo. Perhaps you didn't know what is the context in those fights, because you are too lazy.
Cotto got destroyed by Margarito the the year before. Clottey coming off a loss the fight before. Margarito coming off a suspension after getting destroyed by Mosley. Mosley coming off a loss to Mayweather. Rios coming off a loss.

He fought fighters that hadn't looked impressive since losing.

I never mentioned about Crawford fight or anything, or why he is picking this fight. You didn't even understand my question.
I posted they were easier opponents than Floyd and that Vargas and Horn (if made) are easier than Crawford, not what you posted. I just don't understand why you keep trying to change what I posted.

You have a problem with that statement. Why, i don't know.

And? Like I said, matches that made the most sense where there is no other fighters left because the Floyd fight wasn't going to be made. Margarito was made so that Pac would fight Paul Williams, and to see if he could fight a much bigger fighter. After Paul Williams got KTFO by Martinez, they had no options and had to lead with Shane Mosley because Marquez was not yet moving up and the Floyd fight negotiation was stale.

Other than Clottey, used because no fight to make. Margo, used to see if Pac could handle a 6'1 williams. And shane Mosley picked because there are no other fights left. Then an A- level Bradley and Marquez coming off with KO wins. Then a tune up in Rios after he got KTFO by Marquez who everybody brushed off Pacquiao at that time thinking he would never fight at world level comp again.

"Crawford is the guy we're trying to make"

"Arum tells me Mike Koncz gave him another opponent"

"Arum only gave me one name and that was the the only name he gave me, was Terence Crawford"

                    It's clear Arum picked Crawford.

I don't have a problem of you thinking Pacquiao picked an easier opponent in Horn and Vargas to not yet fight Crawford. We already agreed on that.

But what I'm scratching my head in is that how can you consider an A-level fighter like Bradley who was a top 9 pound for pound at that time and top 3 p4p at the rematch or a Light heavyweight Margarito easy fights?
