That sounds wrong. For example you had Froch, Canelo, Cotto ducking GGG clear as day. None of those guys are cowards, they just know their limits.

ward has proven himself. he could retire and unbiased fans would give him his due.

Sure for whatever that's worth. He'll make the HOF, but probably not on the first ballot, not if he retires to avoid the rematch clause for a fight most had him losing.

As for GGG, the ducking doesn't get more obvious. These are all top level boxers, they're not cowards but something about the guy makes them act like it. Even guys like Froch whose rep is built on facing all comers, they don't want none.

He's fought one quality opponent in 5 years, got a gift decision, now wants to retire. It's what it is.
