Using paper titles to cover up the legal mess created by paper titles. Genius.

"We are actively trying to reduce the number of titles in play", they say..as they order a title fight between a guy who hasn't fought in two years, and a guy who hasn't fought anyone decent in longer.

People can dump on Briggs all they want, but that dude has overcome incredible obstacles in his life. His creativity in promoting himself the last few years has been incredible and LET'S GO CHAMP is inspiring people around the world.

I couldn't be happier for him that he's getting this opportunity. If the fight does end up in South Florida, I'll definitely make sure to be on press row for that one. Haven't covered a fight in 10 years or so, but I'd make an exception for this one.

The WBA has no choice. They must give Oquendo a title shot. He won a ruling in federal court.

Depends if you're willing to class a "regular" WBA title holder as a champ. I don't. The real WBA title will be on the line in the Joshua-Klitschko fight.
