Not picking another dudes boxing gloves is one. How are u the "king" of the sport atm and pick another man's gloves?? It just makes him look so soft imo. Things like that have made me never really like the dude. Appreciate his skills and the fact he's never slipped up in a fight. (Except Castillo part 1)

Fought Pac like a b1tch too. He knew he could win easy that way and didn't give a **** at all if it entertaining or not.

Long before he retired, I predicted that his legacy would fade a little, compared to someone like Pac. Conservative fighters often suffer this fate. People will youtube old, exciting fights. Defensive wizardry, not so much. I notice this when I look up fight vids because I am one of the oddballs that looks up a lot of technical fights, for the sake of study. I love them, but I accept that most others don't.

I don't think Floyd needed to do much different. Maybe it would have helped not to sucker punch Ortiz, or take forever to fight Pac, or fight Berto at the end. But, I don't think he needed to do much different. He built a truly incredible career.

His defensive/conservative style is what allowed him to stay unbeaten in the last half of his career. If that causes our memory of him to fade a little, then it's inevitable. Had he fought balls-out he may never have kept the '0', or looked so amazing.

Not among his peers in the sport...which is all that matters.

You see his influence in the ring and outside it.

I don't see any fighters falling in on one foot trying to fight like Manny....

Unified his division. Do what duran and leonard did go to 160 and win a title. Duran's single feat of going from 130 to 160 and winning the title trumps any win of mayweather's.

He's got mad respect among his peers. Even Ward credits Floyd as an influence.

I don't think that was the question though.

No shouldnt have danced bachata with either for 12 rds. That fight was trash. Floyd could have definitely did more than he did in that fight. Forget about it being about just the two guys, that fight was important for the entire sport.
