If golovkins such an overrated hype job then why is nobody giving jacobs a chance?

Yeah. A step below Elite level fighters like Ward, Gonzalez etc.

      I agree with this entirely.

Jacobs isnt p4p material, no one on gigis resume is tbh, but jacobs is still a good fighter at 160, if he had a better chin the fight could be a toss up... but he doesnt, so it is what it is..

Truth is what it is, GGG for reasons unbeknown to myself is torn down on here, his achievements stripped. I do believe however GGG is a wasted talent at his current weight but if a victory over Canelo and Jacobs will speed up a move to 168 I'm all in favour of it.

GGG gets far too much love for doing so very little.

He's not torn down by the media, just a few guys that are not impressed by a 34 y/o fighter with the resume that reads like a comedy skit.

When you punch like Jacobs...everybody he fights will have chin issues of their own.

I don't think GGG is a bad fighter or a bum, the thing is the hype surrounding him is too extreme, considering his lack of top level opponents in his weight class. He is head and shoulder above number 2 in his division but at least we get to see that fight now.

No one at 160 beating Golovkin. He should just move up already to find someone who can challenge him.

Take that Blackwell fight, he might have some real damage to Blackwell indeed, but that fight was actually pretty close for the first 6 rounds. Same as the fight with O'Sullivan before Eubank started taking over. Plus he did lose to Saunders, no shame there though, Saunders is a very good fighter at his best.

I really don't see how a guy that can't dominate domestic level fighters like Blackwell and Spike O'Sullivan from the opening bell can live with Golovkin.

There's a reason he won't sign to fight Saunders again and why they didn't sign the Golovkin fight, despite having very good contracts in-front of them. Didn't he also essentially give up his mandatory to fight Jacobs and go fight Blackwell instead?

You can be a wonderful athlete but there's a point where levels will nullify that, and Golovkin is levels above Eubank Jr as it stands. Eubank Jr can barely keep himself balanced at times. Imagine if he was off balance and wild against Golovkin the same way he usually is, he would pay big time.
Every single fight Golovkin has, he gets hit! and hit often. His defense is very primitive, so any fighter with the kind of speed, athleticism, co-ordination, and work-rate of Chris Eubank Jr has a chance!

A chance to implement the correct game plan to beat him over 12 rounds which is? to hit him more times than he hits you....

(Lets be honest! Golovkin is not hard fighter to figure out, or strategize a game plan for! he is a straight forward fighter technically with a primitive defensive!).......

People are also overlooking the fact that Chris Eubank Jr seems to have (A ignorance to pain), this is a rare personality trait that very few fighters have! and you need this kind of sadistic attitude up against Golovkin.

Over 12 rounds i believe Chris Eubank Jr would win.

                      .
People said that about the likes of Margarito until he ran into Mosley. But he did actually show it against good fighters too.

It's one thing showing a good chin against someone like Spike O'Sullivan who can crack a bit and might catch you now and again. It's another thing completely when you're in with a skilled fighter who knows where to hit you, knows how to apply pressure and more importantly knows when to apply pressure. How to switch up the velocity/power of shots to not let you get used to the power and too comfortable with it.

The fact is, there's even journeymen you can watch on TV every week that can probably eat a single shot as good as anybody, but it's very different when you're in with a top fighter who can make every punch count in different ways.

Just because Eubank has a good chin and athleticism, it doesn't mean it's going to allow him to beat elite fighters. You need a lot more than that, many guys have that. I haven't seen anything in him just yet that makes me think that he is on that level yet. He had those attributes when he fought BJS and still lost. Has he improved since then? maybe, who knows? he hasn't fought anyone anywhere near that good since.
