  • If golovkins such an overrated hype job then why is nobody giving jacobs a chance?

Im confused, keep getting mixed messages. All i hear is that GGG is a hype job, hes unproven, hes slow, hes not fought anyone good, his defence is ****, he got lit up by a welterweight.

If what you were saying is true and brook (a blown up welterweight) exposed golovkin and lifted him off his feet with an uppercut, then christ whats jacobs going to do to golovkin, should demolish him if golovkins defence is that easy to penetrate. This should be really easy work for a fighter like jacobs then and i was expecting you all to pick him to win, should make some nice money at the bookmakers too.

Yet then i read the threads and comments on here, very few people seem to be giving much of a chance to jacobs, seems as if posters have the started the classic damage control tactics, by downplaying jacobs. 'so what if ggg wins, hes expected to'. Expected by whom, you lot who said GGG isnt any good? Whys that?

So im pretty confused, you all seem to think its a bit of a mismatch when golovkin fights jacobs (a world level fighter). On the one hand im told GGG is overrated and hes no good, but on the other hand im told someone like jacobs (a world class middleweight) doesnt pose any threat at all? So that must mean the people who trash golovkin must actually rate golovkin pretty ****ing highly.

Can someone clear this up for me? Cause its almost as if you lot just make this **** up as you go along (who would have thought it...)

Golovkin will crush this guy, who said GGG was not that good ? List their names. He's light years ahead of the no.2 which so happens to be Jacobs.

Jacobs is no better than the Murrays and Lemieuxs Golovkin has fought. B-Level.

But that's trolling, more than half this site is made up of trolls. So cares what they say ?

GGG is clearly too strong, powerful and skilled for the nearest challenger at 160, I'm not saying he belongs at 168 but their is no challenges at 160 for him. What begrudges me is his insistence to loiter around 160 when he really would clear up at 168 IMO, he could beat DeGale or Jack and unify versus Zurdo, a two weight champion and then a genuine comparison or case towards being a better and more complete champion than our current no.1, Andre Ward. With his record I do not believe he would even need a victory over Ward to prove he is pound for pound better than Ward himself should he hold victories over the top guys at 168 as well as his compliment of wins already established at 160.

A win over Canelo I guess would help his case hold more weight but I do not believe Canelo provides any form of challenge whatsoever, no more than Jacobs anyhow who is infinitely more skilled, has superior footwork and IMO hits as hard if not harder than Canelo.

Yeah, dont come now saying he is a B-level fighter ok? You and your hating ass know better. He is one of the best true 160 pounder available. Now he is B level? SMH. Who is A level then? Who?

Jacobs is far superior skilled than those guys, infintely more so Murray and Lemieux, hits as hard as Lemieux also. Jacobs was ahead against Pirog before stoppage, he just met the harder hitting grandmaster. If GGG is elite, Jacobs and Canelo are A class, everyone else he's already toasted in the manner no one else has ever toasted are mostly solid B class yet clearly and evidently they've never been handled like that before and are damaged goods going forward.

For you to claim Jacobs is not as skilled and their is no gulf between him and the like of Lemieux and Murray is wild.

He is the best available hence A class, only GGG is elite. Jacobs would starch guys like Murray and Rubio, not so sure about pre GGG Geale, I'd bet Jacobs took Lemieux down, Lemieux pretty much lost every round he did not knock N'Dam down that said N'Dam pretty much took every round from Quillin he was not knocked down. These guys are higher rated than given credit for only GGG is light years ahead.
