Oscar would dominate every single today class on which he fought besides 160 and maybe 154.
That's how damn good he was.

Even a high IQ fighter like Thurman who also possesses one punch knock out power.

Thurman doesn't hits as hard as Vargas, Tito or even Mosley and his boxing iq isn't as good as Whitaker or a Mayweather.

I think Thurman would have a better chance against Oscar than Crawford would because of styles.

No doubt a prime Oscar would rule the current 140-147 divisions

He'd make Thurman, Crawford, Garcia, etc look like bums

What made Pernell special was his defense it was almost impossible to land anything on him. Crawford was getting it up and wobbled by little Gamboa comparing him to Pernell is foolish.

yeah people must be thinking about the last oscar they saw who was a shot old shell of himself. In his prime he embarrasses anybody fighting at 140 today. He's a first ballot HOF, olympic gold medal winner for a reason and he has height, power, handspeed, iron chin, strong defense he was on all top p4p lists for about a decade straight in a much tougher era. Crawford can't do anything in the ring against Oscar, he had problems with little gamboa's power. Oscar's lightning left hook would send him into another world. If Crawford tried to run he would outbox and win every round it would look like the Hector Camacho fight where he was dropped embarrassed knew he was losing and quit went into survival mode just to reach the distance.

ODLH was a home run hitter with skills at 140 and lower. At 147 and higher his power wasn't so dominant as it was at the lower weights.

It would had taken a very special fighter to beat him, I haven't seen Crawford pushed yet to the limit but Gamboa was getting to him during his fight

Yeah the more weight classes Oscar climbed the less power he had and his chin held up to 154. 160 was simply the limit where size became too much to over come. But he had legit power up to 154 and at 140 and 135 he had devastating 1 punch power. Was literally busting guys faces wide open or dropping cats with a jab. At 147 and 154 he need to put together punches to knock you out so he used his boxing skills more. Below 147 he had the skills to outbox and power virtually unstoppable at 140 and 135 would take an alltime great to beat him.
