165 pounds is about as low as Chavez can go. It's very unlikely Canelo would weigh in at a soft 165 pounds. Canelo is not nearly as big as some posters like to say he is. Canelo had no problem making 154 and looking great for his last fight. After he fights Chavez he could return to 154 or fight at 160. He doesn't need to fight at 155.Making 154 is no big deal as he showed KOing Smith.

The clock is thicking for ggg, dude is 35 and still no legacy fight... you as a ggg fan should ask for better than the garbage he has giving you... again, seems like many ggg fans are more worried about the money or the timing than about actually watching the fight... if he doesnt secure the fight soon many things could happen in nine months... and by the way it wont be nine months from ggg-jacobs or canelo-chavez, so it will most likely be their next fight after they take care of business... but hey if he wants to weight and compare his ppv numbers vs jacobs to canelos ppv numbers vs chavez, then maybe 15 mill wont be fair anymore.. who knows maybe he gets his desired pct based on that, or maybe cotto steals the show on his final year...

Anyone who thinks canelo will come in at 165 is a fool. Mayweather and Manny both fought tons of catch weights against guys from bigger weightclasses where they didn't come close to the contract weight. The weight is for the bigger man, while they come in at or slightly above their normal weight to keep their quickness. Canelo likely comes in no more then 160 or slightly below.

Im not talking about rehydration, the clause was for the actuall 152 lbs weigh in, canelo could have fought at 154 and wasnt going to be striped, but he didnt cuz the penalty was high... ellerbe and Schaeffer aknowledged that clause...
