The Hitman Would Be Better Of Weighing 147 In The Ring Instead Of 158, But I Think Margarito Or Somebody Would Crush Him To Pieces Early Because He Way Too Big For Hatton
OK, I just saw Hatton/Collazo..

Ok, fair enough but thats not what you posted earlier in this thread. You said he should never have gone up to 147lbs as if you had been against it all along. Unfortunately for you I have a decent memory and dug up your old post.Originally posted by Smokin'EXIGE, stop the act please.
Anyways, after the fight of course I'm going to flip it around like that. My original opinion that the move up to 147 was wrong, so what's the big deal. Hatton was at 158 and it didn't help him thus it won't be beneficial to him afterwards.
*****.
Perhaps it would've been better if you would've said going up to 147lbs was a bad idea and he should'nt go up there again instead of pretending you knew that he was gonna have problems at 147lbs.
I wont even respond to your personal slander.Comment

Before the fight, it was very plausible to think it would be a great move for Hatton. Hatton even said so himself.
Like I said, Hatton's performance disproved my point. I was wrong. Who gives a crap.Comment

I actually think that Hatton would do better versus Margarito than he did versus Collazo. Collazo also had straight punches with crisp close punches aswell which hit Hatton as he was coming in and once he was inside.Originally posted by Super CruiserweightThe Hitman Would Be Better Of Weighing 147 In The Ring Instead Of 158, But I Think Margarito Or Somebody Would Crush Him To Pieces Early Because He Way Too Big For Hatton
Margarito loops his punches and Hatton wont receive the punches he usually does while coming in. I think Collazo's counters better than Margarito too and thats where Collazo inflicted most of his damage. I can't see Margarito countering as well either.
Styles make fights and I think Hatton would look better versus Margarito than he did versus Collazo and beating Margarito.Comment

Why does PBF look better then Hatton at 147? Simple stated you can't bully someone who's bigger then you. It looks like Hatton has smaller arms no matter how much he weights he's the smaller man. If you want to talk about Hatton then leave PBF out of it because they're not even on the same hemisphere. PBF; Pound 4 Pound Best, Hatton; Great White Hype Undefeated for now. Now i dont hate on Hatton, i just cant see him fighting top notch boxers, put him against punchers and brawlers you're in for a great fight, up against a boxer he'll be delt his first loss.Comment

He made a mistake in thinking that he needed to gain weight in order to move up. Gaining weight to move up only makes it harder by forcing you to readjust to the extra weight, putting your timing and conditioning a step behind what it would have been.
On top of all of that, it's completely unnecessary when you already weigh 147 lbs. for 140 lb. fights anyway. Even if you're by far the smaller man, you still have the best chance at the weight your body is already accustomed to.Comment

Mayweather has always moved up through the weights, Hatton never has. In 1994 for example, Mayweather was at 106 and Hatton was at 139. Hatton has always been a light-welterweight, Mayweather has always moved through the weights.Originally posted by DLTWhy does Hatton get a pass? You guys act like he's the only guy who ever moved up. Floyd has fought 2 fights at 147 and has came into the ring at just 146 pounds. If there is a guy who clearly doesnt belong at that weight, its Floyd but he still looks good there so why shouldnt Hatton?
And Mayweather started using weights in the gym for the first time ever to build himself upto 140. Hatton has been using weights since he was 14.Comment
