    OK, I just saw Hatton/Collazo..

Anybody who takes this fight seriously, is a dummy.

Hatton clearly just looks like a blown-up light-welterweight in there, a useless lump of lard!

Quite honestly, this fight is ridiculous. Hatton was weighing 160 on the night according to Billy Graham, there is no way he could of moved anywhere near as sharp as he usually does (he usually weighs 152-154 on the night) and clearly doesn't - it's almost hideous. Hatton looks slow, sloppy, and laughable. He put on unneccasary weight, it was a silly mistake to move up to 147. He should of let Mayweather come back down (remember that Mayweather had to start using weights for the first time ever to build his body up towards 140, whereas Hatton has always used weights since he was a kid).

If Hatton has an ounce of sense, he won't ever fight at 147 again. He makes 140 comfortably, absolutely no problem at all. Infact, he often had to eat up to seven meals a day to keep the weight on when aiming for 140.

This fight is a laughing stock. I don't think Hatton could show much because he probably could barely climb off his stool between rounds - he was that much like a useless lump of lard in there, and it was Obviously due to carrying the extra weight (and shaken up by the naturally heavier punches than what he's used to - struggling for concentration in there because of the heavier punches). The whole fight Hatton literally just walked straight in, threw a few sloppy shots and then clinched.. it was laughable (seeing as this was RICKY HATTON). All Hatton could show really was that he had a rock-solid chin and determination.

Collazo isn't world-class, IMO, he was a paper champion. Sure, his hands looked a little quick at times here and there.. but he wasn't all that effective against such a useless lump of lard. Any world-class, natural 147lber would of beaten Hatton easily last night. Collazo didn't impress me much, really, he just couldn't take advantage enough of Hatton being over-heavy for his structure and Hatton desperately lacking any sharpness.

No, Billy says that Ricky went into the ring weighing 160 (he looked more like 170).

and i thought the fight was very exciting. Of coarse, hatton would have done much better had he been himself, and not overweight, but it was as exciting as those fights get sometimes. i enjoyed myself watching it live. maybe its different when its a re-run.

And I think hatton just has to grow into the divsion, re-adjust himself, get used to the power, improve his defense and power, and fight more fights in welterweight. If he does these things he could be up there with the greats of the division, with mayweather and DLH. i strongly believe this and i see it happening if Hatton could pull of a KO win against gatti soon.

Dude, this is a excuse. Hatton came in at normal weight for a guy who fights at 147 and he was close to what he comes in at for 140 fights.

Why does Hatton get a pass? You guys act like he's the only guy who ever moved up. Floyd has fought 2 fights at 147 and has came into the ring at just 146 pounds. If there is a guy who clearly doesnt belong at that weight, its Floyd but he still looks good there so why shouldnt Hatton?

What makes you think he was blown up? He fought at a higher weight so obviously he weighed more. How can a guy that balloons up after every fight, then gets all the way down to 147 look blown up? Alot of fighters have moved up and some have looked good and some havent but none of them got passes for there performances and e****ally when your a guy as huge as Hatton.

He needed to move up, just like Cotto does. Sure they can fight at 140 for longer but they are killing themselves to make it. Floyd makes 140 easy but still fights at 147 and will soon fight at 154. I bet he doesnt even come into the ring weighing 150 for a 154 pound fight but he will still go at it against a great fighter in Oscar.

Hatton looked bad but it wasnt because of weight. It was because he fought the best or easily the 2nd best guy he has ever fought. If they fought at 140, then it wouldve been the same thing

no he did not need to move up, he comfortably makes 140 regularly. He does not belong at 147, he is too small, and even his frame is probably too small.

DLT, you're just as bias as the rest of them, it's obvious you have only seen 3 of Hatton's fights and are critisizing him based on those. Maussa- very tricky and awkward
                    Collazo- SOUTHPAW, tricky, awkward
Zoo- Only way he could of fought Zoo is to rough him up, because he can't outbox him.

get the **** out of here if you're not going to think of the big picture. at least hatton has fought for 3 straight belts. enough we can say for pretty girl.
