His entire hype is based off of him having Joshua buzzed for a for seconds in their fight. He fought almost exclusively garbage opponents previous to Joshua. He was life or deathing with Chisora who few hold in high regard these days. Thats not to say he's untalented cuz he is a skilled fighter who is gonna beat some decent enough guys in the future I feel confident saying, but if he was a stock I think he's a sell cuz he's wayyyyy overvalued & reality is coming crashing down with him sooner or later I believe.

Why are people trying to hype Dillian Whyte?

Some people are hyping him up because he may be in line for Wilder. Unfortuanetly, even a limited guy like Whyte is a too risky choice for Wilder's handlers. They will continue to protect him like a little baby forever.

I've never seen any hype for Whyte tbh. Larry and the ameri****s making threads now for the glory of the bum bomber so they can hold onto their last heavyweight champion. larry is so pathetic

Chisora is completely shot and they're the same level right now ! Says it all really.
Both would beat Wilder.

To the OP, I don't see many hyping Whyte. He's maybe just inside or just outside the top 10. Where's all the hype or is it just one person picked him over a boxer you like more?

I look at him and Parker. Parker has better technique and power with his shots, but Whyte has more guts and will throw his shots under conditions where Parker stops throwing.
So IMO the guy has a chin, combo punching ability with decent power, and good mobility. Whyte did well against Joshua and was injured that fight.

I actually like Chisora because when he prepares for a fight he is always competative. I could see him hitting a slightly higher mark, using some heavyweight experience...I think he is still under 30? and putting it all together. The only guy he really got blanked on was Haye. I also have to be honest that Chisora as of now is a gatekeeper.
But he is determined, he has pretty good instincts, a good chin and decent power (more through attrition). he has to improve on defense and like most of the division he could stand to become more mobile! But I could see him making those adjustments.
he still yung do! lol.

heavyweights come into their own later. Whyte and even Chisora, by being competative, gatekeepers, could improve and make a run for it. Charles Martin was a champ! Whyte is better than Martin lol.
I am wondering why so many people think Whyte is so bad. he only lost to AJ and what? one other guy? Chisora is a tough fight for anyone, including Vitalie if memory serves correct.
