You see...you really don't know what you're talking about.

The best heavies today can't string together 3 punches without getting tired.....so much for modern sports science/bull****.

This thread will indeed come to "that point." where the argument devolves into a treatise of older boxers versus new boxers and the contrast in training methods. There are many threads on that topic here.

Too bad Ali didn't have access to those roids, he would've beaten Frazier in 71.

I wonder why all the advances in nutrition and training technique haven't made it to the ring.

that picture was almost certainly from back when he was a cruiserweight. he'd be eating less and even cutting weight in the weeks leading into a fight.

Of course there are exceptions but in general heavyweights have never had a significant punch output compared to lower divisions.

...but they sure as hell do compared to today's trash heavies.

Stop trying to shift the subject.

With all of today's so called scientific breakthroughs in training and nutrition..you'd think there would be a LOT more to show for it in the ring.

                I don't see ****.

What? lol.. You switched subjects, not me. I didn't say that today's heavyweights are superior due to nutrition - that was a wild stretch on your part. I was saying that nutritional knowledge can contribute to the physical appearance.

The quality of the in-ring performance is a different matter entirely. In fact I already said that due to 15 round fights, cardio work was much more prevalent back then. Bananas or foods rich in omega 3 and antioxidants can improve concentration and reduce selective reading.
