Eugen Sandow was at the time...the most advanced bodybuilder/circus strongman of the day. No one was like him...that was as far as it had been ever taken. NO JUICE...not yet invented. But he does NOT look anything like either Haye or Joshua obviously.

I don't know much about the testing protocol in the UK...but obviously a lot more fly's across the pond.

Training and nutrition knowledge has advanced alot since his days. Lots of people can get bodies like his without steroids.

Yes, I forgot that heavyweight boxers can also look like five foot seven inch professional bodybuilders.

It's not like some of these fighters spend a lot of time in the gym working out to achieve such a thing.

Floyd Patterson. Great body. Not on the juice.

Joe Louis. Great body. Not on the juice.

Muhammad Ali... I think you get the picture.

I've been a gym rat for a long time and I've never seen that to be the case....not even close. I will grant you that you could today surpass Eugene's development...but not by a whole lot.

It's not like boxing isn't identical to professional bodybuilding and involves exactly the same level of muscular training without any need to focus on sparring, endurance work, pad drills etc.

                    Nope.
