Jacobs can't even draw on regular TV as witnessed so...
That's what I thought too. Wouldn't be surprised if it did less than that.

Jacobs is a spike tv fighter....
Fight vs quillin didn't clear 9000 in attendance and the showtime numbers were terrible.
Taking place on the same day as 8 top notch NCAA basketball games are taking place.
Too bad Andy lee couldn't hold onto the wbo title, him vs ggg st Patrick's day weekend unification for undisputed would have increased the ticket prices/gate.

Even with all that I voted 200k because although Jacobs has less drawing power than Lemieux (was the ibf champ), ggg is more of a household name since his first time on pay per view.
Plus the undercard will be way better than ggg v Lemieux. Roman Gonzales is a bigger name now, and a rematch with cuatros would be better than Roman vs viloria.
Luis Ortiz was a showcase fight and tureano Johnson was/is a nobody.

probably right around ward kov if not less people just arent paying for ppv anymore period. maybe 200k also its tough cause people seem to go off of what the networks and promoters say the numbers are rather then what they actually are like his last ppv which insiders said was 97k.

there are just too many ppv these days every decent fight on hbo is ppv and while this is a really good fight at 160 i dont know if its worthy of ppv. the rule of thumb used to be unless it would for sure do 250k minimum it wasnt even considered for ppv unless it was 2 top 5 p4p fighters or something. people blame ppv numbers on may pac but i actually dont think that has anything to do with it i think people are just tired of hbo shoving boxing "stars" and so many ppv down our throats and its become to easy to just watch a stream put it on ur tv and not have to pay a dime. as good as ggg is and with his star potential i still dont see him as a ppv star yet maybe this will be the ppv that proves me wrong

ya blame it on al haymon not the network who is shoving ppv down our throats that they used to put on for free on boxing after dark. now its anyone who has even some star power is now automatic ppv i doubt well ever see a free ggg fight again even if all his ppv are under 200k buys. it has nothing to do with al haymon even if we take ur blame at face value hbo should still be doing well. it amazes me that u guys want to blame al haymon rather then the network who is really to blame for less eye balls seeing fights that matter. last i checked haymon has a lot of good fights coming up none of which are ppv except the one fighter who is fighting on hbo.

if u guys even had half the passion about the sport that u pretend to have u would not only critique haymon but also hbo who imo is the main problem right now

I see the numbers 97k and 150k thrown around for the ggg/lemieux fight.

The 97k number was reported by rick glaser and after he revealed how he comes to his reported ppv numbers (he uses his perceived interests for the fight through facebook lol), isnt the 150k number the correct one?

150k for the second triple g ppv. fighting another name will bolster ppv from the lemieux fight another 50k.
