There more to that story.
It wasn't about Lil g and the money was fine.
What Jr. didn't want to do was sign an extension, which was presented as a package deal by Arum. In other words he agrees to the extension or no 7 million.Comment

Yeah that offer ended up being $2 million with GGG's $1million per/lb penalty. Chavez probably would of ended up owing after that fight.Comment

I heard GBP wants Donaire or Rigo next...Golden Boy have no intention of making this fight just like they didn't want the GGG fight. They know if Canelo ' s power doesn't work then he is in a whole lot of trouble. They probably have a 135lbs fighter waiting to fight Canelo somewhere and they will claim Chavez refused the fight.Comment

Butthurt, clueless and can't read. It doesn't say GGG made the offer. Chavez was indeed guaranteed minimum 12m to face GGG + one extra fight by Arum in 2014Comment

Obviously you have reading comprehension problems the article clearly states 5M plus an upside PPV. Reread the article and you'll see. There goes Oscar with his same flat fee BS that didn't work on GGG and I'll bet won't work on Chavez either. Why would Chavez take 6 million flat fee bucks and watch Canelo make perhaps 5 times that much? I am a big Canelo fan and will be rooting for him if this fight does happen. Oscar is a serious cheapskate when it comes to offering fighters what they are worth.Comment
