Canelo has all the leverage and tons of options for fights. Chavez biggest payday in recent years was 2.5m 2 years ago against fonfara a fight he lost and ruined his brand by quiting on his stool. His last fight haymon refused to pay for. Showtime refused to pay for so it aired on Bein Sports Espaņol and he took home likely less then 1m. He can't make 6m fighting anyone else and as shaky as he's looked if he takes another tuneup he can get upset again like fonfara fight and NEVER see a Canelo payday. Better take the 6m and cash out now. If Chavez prices himself out canelo can go fight Saunders next after he was granted mandatory opponent for that belt.

Canelo took $5 million flat flee plus ppv percentage against mayweather and cotto. Let's not act like GBP and Canelo are reinventing the wheel. It's a good offer for JCC that he would be ****** to walk away from. Same thing for ggg. The only reason you don't take that offer is if you think you will lose.

7m offer was offer from top rank a lifetime ago in boxing and came with him having to re-sign with Bob arum thats why he turned it down he wanted out his contract with top rank not to reup for more fights. K2 can't offer him that money Jacobs had to hold out and beg and beg for months just to get a slight bump in pay, with GGG and Jacobs agreeing to split maybe 5m combined. But you think K2 is going to pay Chavez 7m leaving NOTHING for GGG? Chavez worth these days is not the same as it was 5 years ago. He literally can't get half Canelo offer fighting anyone else. He'd be ****** to turn it down the top rank deal was dumb to turn down in retrospect but at least you understood it was more about him trying to get with haymon. This is pure simple math more money fighting canelo then anyone else is offering.

Financial offers aside, how funny would it be if golden boy protected Canelo from ggg all this time only to have him lose to a lazy pothead who eats cheerios in his underwear and trains in his living room.

7 million for Chavez would be like... paying 2000 for a pentium 2 computer with a virus!

No one besides Golovkin or a possible Pacquiao or Cotto are getting 10 mill+

Who knows what the actual deal is. PPV upside is a hell of a vague term considering that Chavez jr team just said they wanted 30-35%. It could be 10% for every view after a million which isn't sht. It could be 10% on the overall which is far less than Jr deserves. Canelo better tbe willing to negotiate because as of now, every dollar of his net worth is owed to his old promotional company. GB came out clean but he didn't. The boy needs cash.
