RG is screwed then because HBO isn't into increasing pay for fighters now. It's either take what they give you or go on PPV.

$400,000 is a lot of money for a super flyweight.

Hmmm we might need some accountants in this thread.

His last fight sold 6.7k and had 843k viewers. It also did 2.3M viewers in Mexico.

Is $400,000 fair for those numbers? Anyone?

So, the ticket prices were $300, $200, $100, $50 and $25 which averages out to $135 * 6.7k which then equals to a gate of $904,500. Assuming the 6.7k were all sold and no comps.

Now an NSB accountant needs to take over.

Can't imagine much more than $1m being available to stage this fight. And even that's a bit optimistic for flyweights. Hopefully they can find an extra 100-200k to satisfy him. Otherwise it's another PPV.

I've seen Roman talk about his pay a few times before.... he's simply a victim of weight class discrimination. In his mind he must be thinking i've earned my stripes as number 1 p4p, four weight champ 46-0 yet what i'm getting paid don't really reflect that. Those same accolades while fighting at 140/147 or higher and it's a whole different story.

It's been a successful but hard career, his face looked like a half-eaten hamburger after his last fight.

Seems unrealistic to expect significantly more for an immediate rematch than you got in the first fight just because a few websites have you at the top of a meaningless hypothetical list.

I wouldn't mind K2 putting Usyk as the main undercard instead vs someone good but if they're only spending 500K on the fight that's unlikely.

How does that average out to $135? Do you not think there were a lot more lower priced seats than expensive ones?
