The fight was close. I didn't watch the fight live and heard Ward won but it was a robbery. When I did watch the fight after the first 4 rounds I thought to myself yeah Kov got robbed. Then something happened in the 5th round, Kov started to gas and Ward starting winning. I saw Ward win rounds 5-11 and lose the 12th. I had the same score of 114-113 Ward. I think people sometimes get to caught up in the fight and forget how boxing is judged. No matter how much damage a fighter does, a fight is judged round by round. That's why looking at total compubox numbers make no sense.

I think Ward figured Kov out. If he doesn't catch Ward and knock him out, I see a more thorough win for Ward in the rematch. I like that Ward is talking, it makes the fight more intriguing. He needs to talk more.

Ward, you are a punk bro. Everyone saw you get worked over and dropped, face all marked up with that super surprised look on your face when they announced the winner.

You took the money and now are trying to run to the retirement home because you know that you will get destroyed in a rematch. Everyone is laughing but they are laughing AT YOU for being the clown ass fraud that you are.

And even though he is a well spoken guy and isnt surrounded by controversies, he comes across as very unlikeable. His holier than you attitude and his sense of entitlement rubs me the wrong way.

I read an interview with duva where all the terms for the rematch are already negotiated before the first fight, so whats his problem?
I'm glad others are now seeing the side of Ward that I've always seen. He thinks he is better than other people are and they are lucky to be in his presence.

My thoughts exactly. I never thought Ward could be such a tool but I find myself hoping Kovalev smashes him in the rematch.

Bottom line is those that didn't like Ward before really don't like him now. They want him to be quiet and subdued and are mad that he isn't. Ward has earned the right to speak him mind. What makes things worse is, no one can point exactly what Ward has said thats so bad. They just assume that he wants more money and are running with the diva talk. I guess its because Ward makes iy clear that he doesn't fight for fan approval nor is he a slave to the money. Trip, who hasn't been in the ring with any A class fighters, talks trash and refuses deals and it's ok. No one is mad. But a guy makes it clear that he doesn't need boxing and folks got problems.
