No one is pre-emptively shixting on Jacobs. He's a good opponent. The best opponent at 160 probably. It is possible to acknowledge that while also acknowledging that Jacobs isn't some P4P killer and that Jacobs will most likely lose by knockout.

Most people don't think GGG is a bum, most of his detractors feel that the hype and ratings he get are inconsistent with his actual in-ring achievements.

I can say the same for every division. Where are the hagler hearns and durans in this era? There are none. He can only beat the best in his division. What would hagler, hearns, and duran do with the current 147 lbers? Does this mean everybody is trash? You can't compare eras like that.

GGG's been fighting top 10 MW for a while now and he's never gotten much credit. Reminds me of Wlad K. Maybe he'll get credit after this fight.
