Just because you are #2 in the division or in rankings doesn't mean you can't be leagues below whoever is at #1.

When Floyd was #1 p4p most fighters who occupied #2 were not considered to be in Floyd's league, likewise a win over Jacobs is good on paper, but Jacobs being "#2 in the division" doesn't automatically mean the fight will be closer than if he wasn't. It doesn't necessarily mean he is a better fighter than if he was ranked lower, and even if it did, styles makes fights, and styles trumps raw rankings.

I hope Jacobs makes it challenging, but I consider Golovkin to be levels above Jacobs and would be shocked if he lost.
I agree with the fact that a number 1 can be levels above a number 2. But who is GGG suppose to fight? As of right now this is the best fight out there for him and imo its a very good fight.

If GGG detractors dont like this fight and think Jacobs has zero chance, just say it and say you think GGG is the God of all fighters. These detractors hate on GGG with all their might but when a very good matchup is signed they say its ****ty and hes going to blow through them. In reality they are saying hes just to good for these guys.

It weird with the detractors its either Ward or nothing, thats how highly they think of this guy but at the same time they bash him at every turn. The GGG detractor in reality think more highly of GGG than some of his biggest fans.

This. A lot of the most prominent GGG fans on NSB were saying Jacobs was "ducking" or "scared" just because he was trying to maximize his purse. If he wins, you know they will not give credit.

Shouldn't be any excuses. Jacobs is one of the top fighters at 160. If GGG beats him easily you just have to take your hat off to GGG. It's not his fault that nobody at 160 is at his level. That's just a sign how good he is.

Not sure why you quoted me to ask me this, I didn't discuss who he should/shouldn't fight anywhere in my post, nor is that something I was interested in discussing here lol.

I was just explaining that being #2 in the division isn't really telling.
