Ward is ready for a financial break out but will not do so getting low paychecks. and before anyone mentions Oakland, Las Vegas is not so much different!
ok its an invenstment for roc nation but it has nothing to do with duva who isnt his promoter so why is he saying publicly he needs more money while responding to duva? hes being dishonest. he needs to beg roc nation for more money not duva. roc nation has done 3 or 4 of his fights and has lost money on each one so its not going well. showtime always had the floyd, canelo, cotto fights in the future as possibilities. ward has.......chavez jr???

I find it funny to hear other promoters complaining about how their competitors are overpaying their fighters. You can hear their fear saying "if I can't pay these guys, and I can't get them big fights, how am I going to keep them?" Ward won an Olympic Gold Medal, unified the titles @ 168, stayed out of trouble, got a Jordan Deal and a big deal with Roc Nation! "I ain't mad at 'em!"

So, you don´t want to see GGG vs Canelita? - I still agree though, the champ should always get at least 50% of what the fight itself generates.

Oh yeah I forgot, the public was clamoring to see Baldomir, very comparable situation. Funny thing is, Baldomir made half of what Kov made 10 years earlier and no one had even heard of him before Zab. Bad comparison

Ward managed to get RNS to pay him 5mil and that's great for him but not great for RNS as they lost money on that fight.

If you're a promoter, are u lookin lose money or make money?

Illuminati Jay-Z comes along and saves Ward's career, now "Son of Fraud" Ward is going to hold him hostage and stab him in the back just like he did Dan Goossen. Some people never change, biting the hand that feeds by strongarm robbery.

I think he is responding to Duva... I don't think he is considering the actual facts...a big problem with social media, I don't have a twitter account lol.

If Ward becomes a mega star then that money lost is peanuts. Actually Jay Z is extremely lucky to be positioned like he is, the potential is there and lets look at 50 cents by comparison lol. 50 is not the smartest tool in the shed but he did realize if he could sucyubus Floyd he would achieve financial nirvana.

Your right about Ward's prospects down the line....that is a big obstacle that has to be overcome. That is the biggest risk here without a doubt. Frankly if i was in Jay Z's position I would have to think twice about that situation:

Ward might have to actually go back down for GG to get that breakout mega fight that makes everyone super rich...Tough sell though as we know. Ward ain't becoming a heavyweight either!!

Oh and Daggum: Ward might be trying to prop this fight for all it is worth, realizing the point you made about future comp. Ward cleans up after himself! But that leaves few challengers.

                  Thank you.

It's Kovalev's fault for riding with Duva and missing out on what would have been his biggest fight in 2014-15 against Stevenson and not getting paid like he should have against Ward. What Ward is doing is making sure he gets paid. Kovalev should do the same.

Stevenson went ahead and rolled to PBC with Haymon and gets paid while Kovalev stays with Duva and HBO.

This is old. Boxingscene possibly just discovered it and are posting it. Duva Vs Ward has become a thing, so boxing scene are looking for headlines.

Wait till Ward gets back into the scene, he'll be spouting plenty of sht to counter.

Somehow I have a hard time seeing JayZ with a crackhead like voice, begging for change and a winter coat, being seen burrowing in the church's fried chicken dumpster looking for bones with meaty nubs on them.... tears frozen on his cheek as he remembers how Ward bankrupted his financial empire asking for what amounts to a weeks worth of Crystal champagne spending for Jay. But one never knows!
