Pretty much what everyone expected. ROC losing money on promotion, splits were already negotiated and ward is being a diva again. If he retires without a rematch he's dead to me.

I knew this would be an issue. Ward probably wants $6-7M for the rematch. RNS is probably thinking more like $3M.

The split for the rematch was already agreed to, Ward doesn't need to pull another 'Dan Goosen' and try to change a signed agreement.

Now if they want to do something like change the venue, that might make sense. The fight would probably make more money and generate more hype in LA or even Oakland.

Hopefully Ward & RN smarten-up this time around and they spend more time actually promoting the fight rather than dragging out talks.

You must be kidding because a fight between Canelo and GGG does 1 million buys without even the blink of an eye!

Another fight between Ward and Kovalev does the same 200k probably even less!

Andre Ward is a stand up guy that cares deeply about his boxing legacy. There is no way he will walk away from the sport after that performance.

This is just a negotiating ploy and his only mistake is making it public
