There's nothing "casual" about any of that, whether they aren't knowledgeable to talk boxing technique or not.

Floyd's PPV audience was largely compromised of folks who saw him elsewhere (WWE, DWTS), tuned in during the initial 24/7 run and subsequent 24/7 editions (and were drawn by the spectacle), or caught something that Floyd said in an interview somewhere, with the rest having seen him fight or tuning in for having seen his opponent fight.
Casuals aren't watching Russell and Beterbev in tune-ups. It's not clear what you're going on about but if you're trying to say that hardcore fans sometimes bash on Ward too, then ok, sure. I never said that hardcore fans don't bash him.

His resume shows he's not afraid of any pro boxer, yet his detractors still make believe he's ducking one way or the other

First it was "He won't fight him, he'll retire. If he fights him he gets KO'ed"

Now it's "He won't fight him again, he'll retire"

Smfh, just stop, go outside and have some fresh air before speaking ill of this man

I made my case, with my initial post in this thread. Short and sweet.

Everyone loves KOs man, and I like all 3 of the fighters you mentioned, despite the fact that they've all got less than stellar resumes. Doesn't mean I don't like more technical or crafty fighters too even though that ain't to everyone's taste. I do think the dismissal of people who don't like the same fighters or styles as 'casuals' - as in implying that we/you have some kind of special insight to be a bit of a cop out though. Whilst there are clearly plenty of trolls and fanboys on the forums (some of them indeed supporting the exact same fighters as yourself) there are also plenty of knowledgeable and informed posters who just don't happen to share your tastes.

90 minutes is nothing to me, having lived in the Bay Area many years...For someone else it may be a real inconvenience...its relative. In Northern Nevada people drive 3 hours to go to a nice Basque restaurant without a second thought...in LA its also customery to drive a distance...Yet if someone is from Philly they probably arent going to drive into New York for dinner lol.

Residents of the area do not consider a flight to Oakland a big deal. The people who have the money to buy tickets will buy a ticket in Oakland. There is a tremendous amount of activity regarding these flights. Nobody that I know would do that drive for various reasons...you fly.

                Nope.

"Andre Ward butted Kovalev thats why he won."

"Andre Ward was lucky...Kovalev was weight drained."

                etc etc etc.

You will also notice that many here do not count body punches. They have not come up in the sport when there were great body punchers.
