How can you not love this guy's mentality? He has been calling out Thurman and Garcia for a while now. He wants the Brook fight. He acknowledges that Pacman is possible only after those wins. He wants to be undisputed champion. I hope he shows he has the goods. I'm starting to buy mental stock in him.

Now we're talking. If he actually backs up his talk, unlike other Haymon fighters, he could win a new fan in me the way JRoc did by also bucking the Haymon trend and demanding the Charlo fight.
The Brook fight has to happen in the UK though. And given Spence's size, and the sacrifice Brook made to dare to be great and go up vs GGG, if Spence is going to fight him his first fight back, they should do it at a 150 catch weight. It's bad form to make a guy come down from 160 to 147 in one fight when you're plenty big for 154 yourself. Do it where they're both comfortable, at 150. Of course the title wouldn't be on the line at 150 which is the problem... but it would be a much better fight at 150. They'd have more energy.
The fight should definitely be in the U.K. though. Sick of seeing all these corrupt decisions in the U.S. Time to give the U.K. a shot. GGG went to the U.K. to fight Brook, even though GGG is a bigger name than Spence (for now, so just relax), so Spence should do the same.
Thurman is going to be the true test for Spence though. I really do think at 147, Crawford, Thurman, and Spence are a not above the rest. And I include Thurman in that. People think he's not as good because he's not as fluid as Crawford or Spence, which is true, but he's a bigger puncher than Crawford anyway, and stronger than Crawford, so I put him up there. Those guys should all fight, and Mikey Garcia should get in that mix too.

So, I actually have started out anti-Spence for those reasons, but it's talk like this that, if he backs it up, will make me a fan. Just like I disliked hypejob Broner when he was at 135 talking smack fighting smaller dudes, but after he took a loss and they stopped protecting him, he started calling out Matthysse (a fight that should have happened smh) and other dangerous guys so I came to like him. I just don't like protected fighters who talk big but don't fight the best. Once they're no longer protected, then they can talk all they want, because they're fighting the best, so it's all good.
That's why I like Mcgregor, and if Floyd had simply given fans the best fights, I wouldn't have minded his talk so much either. Floyd is actually charismatic at times when he's not full of ****, the problem is he didn't deliver the best fights, he ducked the megafight for years, and he's more aggressive fighting outside the ring than inside the ring, even with women, so the total package is impossible to support unless you're racially biased. But Spence I could respect if he actually fights Thurman next year, and Crawford in 2018.

He is not getting ahead of himself with his expectations. Just listened to him on youtube and he knows his place and knows he has to earn his stripes. This obviously needs to be done BEFORE you can take money/business fights in the later years like pac & cotto at present.

Why the haters
I understand why people say he talks to much and just needs to fight. Don't realize that he was asked a question(s), so he's just answering. And there is nothing wrong with having goals. He's a hungry young fighter, that every time they put a fighter in front of him he's taking them out and improving. Now he's ready for the top fighters. I think his list is perfect. Let the young man do his thing, just like a lot of fighters in the past have done. Have to work your way up, and then fight the best!
