I've posted a lot of criticism of Ward in the past, but I would never call him a quitter. That isn't in his make-up.
I'm sure his main motive for fighting is money, not legacy, but he is a warrior, and will fight to win when the chips are down.
But ask yourself this ... why did his promoter guarantee him $5million, on top of his share of the PPV?
To me, the answer to that question is obvious ... if Ward hadn't been guaranteed 2.5 times the money Kovalev was on, he would never have agreed to the fight.
