Huge fight in Texas. I agree with the other poster who said if Schaefer was still running Golden Boy the fight would be made. Oscar didn't want Canelo vs. Mayweather or Lara. Richard made the fights.

The promoter works for the fighter. If Canelo really wants the GGG or Charlo fights, they'll happen. Nobody cared about Lara,. Canelo could have avoided him forever and nobody would have even cared.

That's what I don't understand about these Haymon fighters. They have PBC and Showtime behind them and have just as much right to make offers to any fighter they want to fight. It's as if GBP and K2 are these huge companies that have the sole right to make offers.
