Ha ha was going to post the same thing

Good thing about Khan is that you dont have to play the role of a fool - he simply is one

And why does the offer have to come from GBP when Schaefer has the combined power and finances of Showtime and PBC? Send them an offer, Mr Schaefer, since you're the one responsible for reducing GBP to an almost irrelevant company.

What other great options does Charlo have? You can't trust Andrade, the guy was just trying to steal some shine last night. Charlo should beat the drums loud and hard to make the Canelo fight. Go ahead and start an insult campaign so Canelo and Oscar can't ignore him.

At the very least I hope he doesn't pull a Danny Jacobs and sit out a year.

This is where we're going to disagree.

How much has Holyfield made over the course of his career?

          Sugar Ray Leonard?

Don't let these boxers being horrible finanical managers fool you into thinking that there's been boxers who didn't have to act like a sheer buffoon in order to get paid.

Manny Pacquaio, Cotto, Canelo, GGG, DLH, Tito Trinidad and many other are fighters that come to mind in the last 20 years that didn't have to play heel for the cameras to become stars.

They did it with their performance. As long as Charlo KO's his opponents in exciting fashion, the money will come.

If Charlo KO's Canelo in a fan friendly fight, you don't think he will be heavily compensated in the future thereafter?

That's what I don't understand about these Haymon fighters. They have PBC and Showtime behind them and have just as much right to make offers to any fighter they want to fight. It's as if GBP and K2 are these huge companies that have the sole right to make offers.

Funny part is when Loeffler reaches out, they invoke Showtime's name.

Yea but those guys had other things going for them, Holyfield, Oscar and Leonard were big from the beginning because they were gold medalists. Pacquiao was a unique phenomenon which took a lot of time to really build, and Trinidad also took a long time of domination to really get big. Some have strong ethic followings.

Charlo can be well paid doing that, but if he brings more to the table his run will last longer and the peak will be higher. Which really only benefits him for doing something exceedingly simple and is something he has already did, so he would just be taking lemons and making lemon-aid out of them.

ANY fighter benefits financially from being able to generate strong emotions in fans love, hate, respect, fear it all plays. Playing those up is just part of the job, it might not be needed to make it but it is needed to really go far beyond boxing circles.

I doubt it mainly because Schaefer ****ed over Oscar. I wouldn't want to business with him either.

We're going to have to disagree on this topic.

If it's one thing I can't stand, that's a young black fighter feeling like he has to act like a coon in order to sell fights. That's my pet peeve.

Let's see how Charlo's career plays out.

Hopefully he can get more KO's under his belt; if he does, I hope his career takes off like Pac, GGG, Cotto, Canelo and so many before him did.
