I agree that's a good fight, but at the end of the day, it is not PPV worthy.

Hell of a lot better than another Liam Smith. Canelo beating Charlo and going on to fight GGG, would be remincescent to Trinidad beating David Reid or William Joppy and going on to fight Hopkins.

I don;t know about big big PPV, it could possibly do decent if Charlo plays up the villain role hopefully pulling Canelo out of his normal bland fight selling routine.

Huge fight in Texas. I agree with the other poster who said if Schaefer was still running Golden Boy the fight would be made. Oscar didn't want Canelo vs. Mayweather or Lara. Richard made the fights.

I don't recall Mayweather doing too much at that point to be the bad guy. Charlo might have to hire a Spanish language guy to talk smack for him to Canelo, maybe get Mayorga to do it.

I do think Charlo acting like an arrogant ass would really help sell the fight though with or without getting Canelo to act out. It would just sell better if Canelo wasn't bland as could be.
