Two unbeaten fighters should be more exciting than this.

Parker exposed. He is just not that good. Ruiz was a first real test for him and he barely won. very close decision. I dont rank Parker top 5 in division, no way.

He needed to fight on the inside and gain ruiz's respect, and then walk Ruiz down.
Barry needs to go. JDJ or someone would be great.

Felt Ruiz probably edged it and I like Parker, I thought he could be a good image for the Heavyweight Division. I don't think Parker was content with a close victory; he didn't want to celebrate after the win, he asked his corner to lower him and he walked straight over to Ruiz.
Listening to Box Nation say dumb **** like, "Ruiz has to be more active because he's the shorter guy." Who gives a ****? He's landing the better punches. A tall guy flicks his jab and they give him the round just like that? Ruiz consistently stabbed him in the midsection from the opening bell. There were times Parker got in a few good shots, but they were too far in between. When Ruiz wasn't closing the distance enough and letting Parker get by on the backfoot, he gave rounds away.
There should be a rematch and hopefully they both perform better. I do feel like Parker has more to improve on in a rematch, they guy barely threw a right hand.

Parker is not very good. He missed most of his shots. He gave the impression that he was doing slightly more because he was popping that jab. Was he landing it though?
Ruiz took several breaks, there was times in which he didn't do much except come forward, but when he did let his hands go he would land some good shots.
I honestly wouldn't be mad if anyone scored it 7-5 for Ruiz. Seriously.
I can't believe people thought Parker was going to be better than Joshua. Maybe I'm being a little too harsh on Parker, but I don't see anything special.
Some of these fighters are lucky Fury beat Klitschko and then Fury went on to go crazy.

Yeah, I actually had Ruiz edging it 7-5. I wouldn't even be mad with an 8-4. We are probably in the minority though. I felt Ruiz landed the cleaner shots and Parker really wasn't landing a whole lot.
He was just flicking that jab, like you said, but was it landing?
Also, when they exchanged punches Ruiz would land 3-4 punches while Parker landed 1 or 2.
