Parker I don't think benefits, he won a fight he shouldn't have and looked poor doing it compared to what we all know he is capable of. He was way too relaxes walking in and I commented then that this thing will go to the cards and hel get the hometown decision. Fight was close enough to warrant a decision either way. End of the day Ruiz was not apprehensive in anyway and Parker looked wary of Ruiz all 12 rounds.

No he won't be back unless he loses haha. Arum should've promoted thus one from the start anyway. NZ is no place to hold a world title fight. We do not get into a hit the way other countries do. Whilt we are just as passionate we are very reserved when we support our boys. Add to this the band wagon factor which dictates that 80% of kiwis become boxing experts overnight make a fight here boring. The crowd were silent until Parkers fight as they didn't understand whats going on in the ring.

It's a good sign that Parker outboxed his man and won a fair decision, but fans expect more out of him. British fans must be wondering when AJ is going to fight anyone - Parker has two quality wins..two more than AJ.
Even one more than the Birmingham Bumhunter.

Parker is not really a top heavyweight. Ruiz looked good in the early rounds, but neither was impressive in the second half of the fight.

116-112 Parker. Dude looked to be doing just more than Ruiz in the early rounds for me, just working at a slightly higher pace.
I think he put too much into the early rounds against Takam and gave himself a scare when he was blowing in the mid section before he found his second wind to close the show on points, that was a solid learning curve fight. I do believe he had the Takam fight in memory with the way he paced himself and did not do anything rash.
Parker was boxing well with the jab then it seemed to disappear slightly, then the left hooks which were working so well he ceased to use then he let the ripping uppercut go only once or twice when it would have been hugely effective. He seems to switch off in odd rounds and allow them to slip, not a great sign but I think he thought he was further ahead his coach needs to push him harder when he steps up to world level if Parker fights like he does for three rounds like he dud versus Dimitrenko he destroys Joshua and Wilder, Klitschko walks through him though.

Parker is alright, nothing more. Only Ruiz doing ***all for long periods made him look better than he is. Honestly, Joshua would crush Parker.
