Wow Haymon and Floyd must have really fluffed this. Seemed a shoe in at one point.

Look forward to seeing him in the Pros. Robeisy Ramirez is probably my favourite amateur and Shakur gave him a great fight in the final.

He courted both Mikey and Shakur and they both said no. That should tell you about what others think about Mayweather promotions that he can't even secure the top two 'free agents' in the sport.
Mikey Garcia has a mainline relationship to TV opportunities on Showtime, and Shakur Stevenson is basically starting his professional boxing career with having the same shrewd operators looking after him that Floyd put around him when he was making his way (Prince and Haymon are basically peas of the same pod).

Still, Mikey Garcia and Shakur Stevenson are still looking for promoters to back them; though Mikey's promotional focus is likely on maxing out his name in SoCal, and Shakur Stevenson will likely end up trying to build a profile for himself in NJ/NY, it's very unlikely that either guy ends up staging fights in Vegas without some help from Floyd Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions.

Floyd is working to build a Las Vegas-based outfit, currently to mixed success; he's got a current world champion under his banner, has had a couple others get to the world title, but he's still looking for that young fighter under his banner to break through.

Michael Hunter (targeting the WBO belt held by Usyk), Andrew Tabiti (positioned for the WBC belt held by Bellew), Kevin Newman II, Ronald Gavril, and a few more of the young pups are going to get their shots; whether they win or not is going to be on them.

You can't say Floyd doesn't give his fighter's opportunities; Ishe Smith, Gervonta Davis, Theophane, and Jack all got title shots, whether or not you think they deserved it. I feel 2017 or 18 we might see Bogere and Love challenging for a belt

This kid already making bad decisions as a fighter what makes people think he will be that good as a pro?

Roc nation has no one for this kid to fight....

Not a big fan of signing to Floyd but Ward is not the one to follow If you're looking to make big money in boxing....

TBH he probably would be better of signing a short 3-4 year deal with TR because most of the big names he could mix it up with and make a big impact are over there...

Loma is making pretty cool money and he's only had like 8 fights

For sure; and if their good enough, they'll pull through. Floyd's business being what it is, he's looking to hopefully develop a young fighter to take over his mantle of Las Vegas attraction. If one's good enough to win, Floyd is positioned well enough to help them draw in Las Vegas.

Shakur Stevenson is maybe 3 years away from needing to be positioned to "have guys to fight"; you add that he's likely going to be debuting at 118lbs and "needing guys to fight" is a bit heavy-handed

Floyd doesn't want to look him in the face when he feeds him to the wolves.

I agree Floyd lost big time. This was a chance to sign a real blue chip guy. Instead he's stuck with clowns like Tank and Ishe. Have to wonder why he lost out on Shakur
