In answer to why people are so high on Spence - watch his fights.

I like Thurman, I like Porter, I like Brook, I like Spence, all for different reasons. Reason I think Spence is the real deal is he's got that 'total package' thing going on where he combines everything vs any one strong attribute, and he's getting better. I think he takes over 147 with complete dominance over the next couple of years.

What I don't like (mentioned before in a previous post) is him having to wait while Brook figures out what he's going to do as Spence needs to be active right now, 4 fights a year active.

Show me where he was "badly hurt"

Absolute atrocious lie. He was slightly buzzed and that was it.

Exactly. Muppets on NSB accuse Brook of being scared after he just fought the most feared fighter on the planet.

I think it's all to do with risk vs reward and putting weight into the mix. Spence is a huge risk for not much reward, AND Brook will have to venture back to 147 which we're not sure yet whether will benefit him or not. He was a big, strong 147lb'er, is he weaker or stronger at 154? We don't know and neither does he.

I think if a big name comes up at 154, one he can justify throwing his belt in the trash he'll take it, to give himself some breathing room at the weight more than anything. If there's no option he'll have to defend otherwise it will look like a massive duck.

One thing's for sure he can't fight Pacquiao, DSG, Thurman, etc. at 147 without going through Spence.

Interesting comment as it made me think of Malignaggi's comment recently that he also picked a top 4, his 4 being Brook/Thurman/Porter/Spence.

Of course Malignaggi's going to pick Porter as 'he beat ME, so he must be in the top 4'.

I would pick Brook/Thurman/Pac/Spence, only leaving out Bradley as I think Bradley is on the slide and his best days are probably behind him. And I rate Thurman.

Interesting Malignaggi left out Pac - but then again, Malignaggi talks so fast his brain can't keep up sometimes.

We're talking 1.28 to go in the 4th. Brook got caught and did the wobbly leg thing for a second, then steadied and spent the next minute recovering. During that time his defences were dulled so that he was taking some additional shots, but on steady legs. Took him a minute to recover, then was back.

Hurt for sure given how his defences went awol for a short period. B adly hurt ? Don't think so seeing as he was back within 60 seconds. Buzzed probably sounds closer. How about 'staggered'.

I can't blame him for wanting a unification over Spence but they are all booked up. He has to take on Spence before these unification bouts.

I wonder how long it is going to take before the IBF says your time is up Kell!!

Wants to hold on to the belt but does not seem overly interested in defending it against his mandatory.
Strange or maybe not strange at all.

To be honest at this point the only relevant news about Kell should be to defend against his mandatory , vacate or get stripped!!

Its all in his hand. He just has to make up his mind.
Brook is recovering from a fractured eye socket and the IBF have given him until next Feb before they order him to defend against Spence.
