    1) Show Superman vs Batman before the fight
    2) Make the fighters dress up as Superman and Batman
    3) ???

You had the Ward/Kovalev replay and Lomo/Walters. A year ago people would've expected 1.5mill for a tv rating for those two shows, now only half that. Two of the most competitive and anticipated fights the sport had to offer this year and it flopped on tv.

The sports ****ed over right now. Too many months where there's been no boxing or uncompetitive match-ups.
Kovalev-Ward got pretty standard ratings for a PPV replay. Canelo Khan did 767k, Pacquiao Vs Bradley III did 750k , and Golovkin-Lemieux did 797k.

I don't know why you would think Loma/Walters would do 1.5M a year ago. Both registered in the 600s in viewers last year. They were never popular.

PBC is pretty much Showtime and they get far worse numbers than HBO, even prorated

I'm pretty sure PBC has been taking notice. Fan of boxing rather see fights on TV then a paid subcription.

HBO has link their bankroll to a bunch of non american fighters.

Canelo-GGG-Kov-Lomo-Ortiz-Klis... That the basic american fan can't connect to them.

Not that the PBC is doing better, but they do have the biggest stars in boxing

That is Ann absolute farce. Hbo has the biggest stars and the ratings prove it. Showtime and pbc fights in general are lucky to get 500k viewers. Hbo gets more viewers than pbc does on free tv its sad. Al haymon should just sell the contracts to his entire roster to top rank for a cool 50 million or so and let the bobfather do what only the bobfather can do which is promote the best fights and give us fans what we want. Its too late though haymon screwed up the best opportunity and probably the last opportunity boxing will ever get to have boxing back in primetime tv. No invester will ever take a risk like that again sadly

Showtime don't have as many subscribers as HBO. So you don't expect the same numbers as HBO

Is you serious. HBO is a well oiled machine, been in the game for years. So you think they don't minipulate boxing in their favor. Just look at the so called pound for pound top ten.

PBC is a new franchise and could put on great fights on free tv. (Once they can secure a deal) where as HBO only put on lopsided fight and try to sell it as a 50/50 fight

That's why I said prorated. Their best number this year is worse that this low performing Hbo fight, per subscriber. That's with much increased spending vs 5 years ago
