You can't judge Ward for something that didn't happen. Kovalev held and refused to let go because Ward was clearly better on the inside. It was great tactics by Kovalev.

Whatever the reality was that night, the judges favored Ward's style and "effectiveness" I suppose. Unfortunately for Kovalev he couldn't close the deal so that's the way the judges saw it. Listen, they're both great fighters. Just wasn't Kovalev's night.

i wonder why the video is just screen grabs of kov holding...could it be that they don't want to show when ward ran into kovalev and started holding first? just edit that part out its not important!

larry will pretend he's unbiased by only showing screen grabs and not the whole sequence. because having less information is always a good thing right? we know he doesn't like having all the info. when you how a slow-mo vid of every punch in floyd-pac THAT'S BIASED! when you cut a frame of the wrd-kovalev fight to make it look like kovalev is the one holding when he ws doing it in response to being held NOT BIASED!

Exactly. Ward came in like a billy goat and initiated the clinches. Kovalev was wise to Ward's tactics and put him in a head lock.

Ward came in head first and given Ward's history Kovalev rightly negated that head butt tactic by head locking him. It's all semantics now. Ward won and I'm looking forward to the rematch.

kovalev was wise to ward's hold and hitting hitting and holding strategy and neutralized it by augmenting his clinch to PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ward's clinch.
