No need to apologize. It's not like he paid off the judges himself.

His job is to fight his ass off and that's what he did. He came up a little short IMO but who cares. We're going to see it again that's all that matters right now.

ya but just because he came up a little short in ur opinion doesnt mean it was a robbery. i swear people ever since the first pac bradley fight want to cry robbery in every close fight. like anyone who can watch that fight and not think theres a possible legit way ward could of won whether they think he did or not im honestly not sure what they watching. controversial is so much different then a robbery.

its not good it desensitizes the boxing public when actual robberies happen when we scream robbery whenever a decision happens we dont agree with or whenever our fighter get raw end of decision in a close fight. now when real robberies happen we dont think twice about it cause everyone who cries wolf. this isnt an attack on u personally im just talking in general terms

Of course Ward doesnt have to apologize. It was the judges who handed down the scores. Not him.

What I will say though is.. He needs to stop acting as if he won this fight decisively if at all. The other day he said "I'll beat him even easier in the rematch" That implies that he beat him "easy" in the first fight which anyone with half a functioning eye ball can see that wasn't the case.


Ward battled back and fought admirably in the 2nd half of the fight. Cant take that away from him. Personally I scored it for Kovalev 7-5.

Would have been better had Ward said something along the lines of ...."It was a close hard fought fight that can be settled in the rematch. Looking forward to doing it again".

Why should he when Kovalev has given him no credit whatsoever? Or does this standard only apply to Ward?

Ward earned his first loss and a$$ kickin by the obvious damage on his face. Definitely didn't earn 3 belts after being knocked down by hitting and holding and riding a bike. He should apologize for not being honorable and giving those belts back.

so because he has damage to his face from fighting the #1 fighter in the division he went up to he lost???? what do u suppose his face should look like??? he just fought the #1 fighter in the division who is a hell of a fighter and puncher.... kovs damage was to the head, wards was to the body its simple, kov was holding a hell of alot but nobody is mentioning it, close fight, stop crying

the judges were incompetent when they failed to finish-off Ward when they had him hurt

and the judges were also incompetent when they saw that Ward was climbing back into the fight and yet did nothing to stop him
