I've changed my opinion on the Andre Ward fight

I was one of the people calling foul yesterday, but after rewatching the fight Ward won rounds 7 to 12 plus the 5th and Kovalev won rounds 1 to 4 and the 6th so that's 114 - 113 Ward including the kd.

I think people get too emotional in the moment. I have no problem if someone thinks Kov won. But it was in no form a robbery. People get blinded from the kd and see Kov walking forward and think that's all you have to do sometimes

I watched that one 4 times and I keep giving it to Ward, narrowly. Same with the 4th, which I just have to hand to Kovalev.

^This. Remember when Max had to pump the brakes and say "he hasn't won the fight just yet" after the KD? Even I though Ward was done at that point.

Agreed. Everyone wanted to call it a 50/50 fight going in. But, they don't want to accept that the outcome might be close to 50/50 as well.

The fact that the judges were able to see past the excitement of the 2nd round and actually score it reasonably is a sign of what's RIGHT in boxing.
