Man re watching this fight doesn't help. Ward landed some vicious body punches after the 5th round. I think a lot of those were missed in the heat of the fight. But those punches are probably what won him the fight. His work to the body was textbook and had the exact desired effect.

He kept unloading on Kovalev's left side. After two rounds of Ward doing that in and out of the clinch, Kov started to slow down noticeably.
