Ward did not win 7 rounds, but he needed 8 after the KD.

Because my buddy and I watched it and I was telling him that Ward was edging most of the rounds when Kovalev would land a couple hard shots that made the announce team go crazy. I'm just curious as to how they came up with the scores. 114-114 is a draw in a 12rd fight. When they announced 114-113, I assumed they had scored it six rounds apiece, with Kovalev winning because of the KD.

that is exactly what I said would happen.....
that it was a 50/50 fight, with the slight edge going to Ward..... and that he may have to climb off the deck to win
expect a rematch
Ward will be MUCH better with this fight under his belt, and I pick him to win the rematch

He had a low blow late in the fight (was warned, but it was still a bad punch), he "fell down" when he was absolutely gassed and exhausted (he needed a break), and he held/clinched Ward all night long...especially in the first half of the fight. I get that Ward clinches often in his fights, but it was mostly Kovalev clinching from my 1080p HDTV
Ward is a s.h.i.t and he was the only clincher.

Originally posted by ИATASExactly how I had it. I can see it either way or a draw since there were several real close rounds. Immediate rematch is the only solution here, one fight wasn't enough to determine who is better.

Originally posted by ИATASYou're missing my point entirely then. What I'm saying is this was no robbery. Clearly this fight was close, therefore by definition it's not a robbery. I person would like to have seen a draw, rematch and fight again. What I'm arguing against is people who are saying it was a blatant robbery and won't admit it was a close fight. You can disagree with the decision, that's fine, but a robbery it was not.

Ward won the championship rounds and won like 4-5 rounds in a row down the stretch. Not hard to see how Ward wins this fight at all. Stunned so many people are crying otherwise
Ledderman is the same dumbass that had Mayweather-Hatton a close fight before the stoppage
Fcuk those guys
