Floyd at 140 was at his absolute peak. Size, skill, power, speed. It was when he had an almost perfect blend if defense and offense. And he actually grew into that weight. He could have stayed there and dominated for a while but he moved up to chase the big fights which actually worked out for him. Chavez sr. By comparison definitely slowed down at 140 and he was definitely undersized. No way he beats Floyd at 140. I suggest people actually watch both guys instead of just jumping on one bandwagon or the other.Comment

Pressure isn't one of Mayweather weaknesses.Chavez would have his moments where he'd pin Mayweather against the ropes dig left hooks to the body.Mayweather would pot shot Chavez from the outside outpoint him 8-4Comment

Chavez didn't say that in the video. He said at 140 Floyd would've ****ed him up. This was translated incorrectlyComment

Yeah, but Meldrick Taylor was a Brawler and Mayweather was an Ultra Defensive Boxer. Apples and Oranges.Comment

In his prime, Chavez was a bone breaking monster. Mayweather would hand pick his opponents and avoid quick footed and quick handed strong fighters like the plague. Mayweather would've made every excuse not to fight a prime Chavez and waited him out like he did Margacheato and Paul Williams. Mayweather never fought a top World Class fighter in his prime and this is a fact. Chavez would take the type of fighters Mayweather avoided and literally break their bones.Comment

chavez actually would have had a better chance at beating floyd at 130 or 135...at 140 chavez lost a little of that closing speed he had at the smaller weights and was a better puncher down there...
i dont think a fight with floyd at 140 or more would have been close...floyd likely wins a wide "boring" decision...Comment
