very top level matchup, close fight IMO. may @ 140 was maybe the best version of him even though it was only about 2 fights. jcc sr is a legend.

                Chavez Sr wins...

Chavez Sr would've beaten Floyd at 140lbs. Floyd would've won at WW BUT Chavez Sr wasn't a WW. He was really a career LW. He weighed in at 143lbs I think for Whitaker and that is the most he ever weighed, in his prime. Floyd wouldn't be able to hurt Chavez, he would get outworked. Chavez doesn't KO him but he out works him. Floyd gets beat by a lot of greats who had a high work rate. It's simple really. One of his biggest flaws is work rate. He tries to do just enough but it wouldn't work against prime A Level opposition. It didn't work against Manny either. A Level fighters have workrate, stamina, defense, killer instinct, etc. Floyd wouldn't have beaten him.

Chavez Sr. is an all time great. But Sweet Pea schooled him. Sweet Pea would've probably beat Floyd too. This one is hard to call. I don't see anybody "****ing up" Floyd. But he possibly could have beat him. I think Juan Manuel Marquez could've beat JCC. My opinion.

Yeah, but wasn't JCC a 140 lber when he fought Whitaker and Whitaker a 147 lber, so they met at a catch weight?

Maybe JCC/Whitaker would have looked a little different at 140.
